The two main islands of Samoa, Upolu and Savaii, are perfectly located to receive all swells from both the N and the S. Upolu is the more developed of the two islands with the majority of the resorts and known surf spots. Savaii is still a wild place with fewer known surf breaks, but really high potential for discovery.
Samoa's South coast hold the best quality waves, most of them hollow and powerful, breaking over shallow barrier or lava reefs far from shore, suited to expert surfers.
