Himmafushi island is located in North Malé Atoll just 17 kms from the capital Malé and the airport. It can be easily reached by transfer in a 20 mins speedboat ride or by ferry that takes around 45 mins.
This is a traditional fishing island with around 750 inhabitants, white sandy beaches and palm trees. You can walk from one side of the island to the other in less than 40min and watch the locals on their daily routine.

A Surf Trip is about the opportunity to discover the real and genuine places and local life while surfing world class waves. Not only surfing empty brakes and enjoying warm waters but also learning about new cultures and people.
Both our houses offer plenty of indoor and outdoor communal living space with a sea water swimming pool set in our gardens with lots of hammocks to chill out in after a hard days surfing.
You will meet other open minded people to share new experiences with, most of them about surfing. The Villa is located only 10 minutes walk away from Jailbreaks.
All meals are served all fresco on the terraces, so you can really make the most of the year round sunshine and are freshly prepared by our in house Chef.
We have 2 large living rooms with all entertainment gadgets such as TV, DVD, music system – a great place to relax on one of the large family sized sofas to watch the pictures and videos of the day’s surf.
For those feeling a bit more energetic we have a fussball table and a full sized pool table upstairs in the Villa. Other options to get active is joining our Yoga instructor for a session or exploring the underwater world with our dive centre.

The most popular surf breaks of the Maldives are located in the North Male Atoll. It probably also offers the most consistent spots within the entire archipelago especially during the summer peak months of June and July, but starting already from early April to late October. All of the surf spots are reef breaks facing the east or south east and are a well protected from predominant south westerly winds.
That's why the surf breaks in North Male Atoll pick up a lot of swell and have proven to be quite consistent.
