Ghana is exposed to the South swells, so the most consistent season is from April to August when the winter swells from the South Atlantic hit Ghana’s shores.
Even during this peak season the wave size rarely goes higher than shoulder high. Occasional point breaks produce bigger waves on the good days.
During the less consistent season, you can expect a few flat days or very small waves but if you’re not ashamed of grabbing a long board, you’ll score some long rides!
Water temperature changes between 24ºC and 25ºC during the entire year, meaning that you’ll never have to put your wetsuit here!
